Murat Ongun announces 'I will file the necessary lawsuits' against 'conspirator Birinci': It must be analyzed well

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel announced yesterday at a rally in Bayrampaşa that he would reveal new documents, stating, "AK Party, your anniversary gift is coming. Tayyip Bey, you say 'the biggest turnip is in the saddlebag,' but I won't keep it in the saddlebag; the AK Taurus gang is collapsing, the AK Party is collapsing," and named AKP member Mücahit Birinci in his statement.

Özel stated that Mücahit Birinci, who has held various positions within the AKP, visited businessman Murat Kapki, who was arrested in the IMM investigation, while he was in detention and told him, "Sign this statement, give 2 million dollars, and go away quietly."

In the complaint petition written by Kapki regarding Birinci, it was alleged that Birinci demanded that Kapki testify that money was collected as a result of certain tenders, that this money would be used for Ekrem İmamoğlu's political propaganda and the CHP General Assembly, and that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel was aware of this money.

The petition also stated that Kapki was asked to say that he heard that journalists who went to Rome with İmamoğlu were funded and turned into partisan supporters, and that he was asked to say that he heard Murat Ongun say, "Attorney Mehmet Pehlivan solves those matters, half of the Çağlayan Courthouse, the judges and prosecutors are in his hands," when news of an operation against the IMM was heard.

"I will file the necessary lawsuits against the conspirator Mücahit Birinci. The text prepared by this ambitious conspirator, who demanded 2 million Dollars for a slanderous signature, must be analyzed well.

This individual, who is trying to kill many birds with one stone, is not only targeting Mr. Özgür Özel, Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu, myself, and Fatih Keleş, but is also making a group of prosecutors and judges at the Çağlayan Courthouse, as well as many journalists who attended the IMM's European Games signing ceremony in Rome, vulnerable to an operation.

No lawyer could resort to such recklessness on their own. They could not show this level of courage alone."
