In an incident that occurred around 03:20 on the night of October 14 in Kadıköy's Hasanpaşa Neighborhood, it is alleged that Davut Atakov was walking with his girlfriend, S.T., to go home. According to the allegations, someone passing by them catcalled his girlfriend.

FLED AFTER STABBING

During the argument that broke out over the catcalling, the suspect pulled out a knife he was carrying and stabbed Davut Atakov. Atakov was wounded by the knife blow. While the suspect fled the scene, Atakov was taken to the hospital with the help of his girlfriend. Despite the interventions at the hospital, Atakov could not be saved.

"HE ATTACKED MY FRIEND WITH A KNIFE"

Following the incident, teams from the Public Security Branch Office's Murder Bureau launched an investigation. Police first consulted the testimony of an eyewitness to the event. In her statement, S.T. said, "While I was walking with my friend, someone around 35-40 years old, wearing glasses and having a scruffy beard, catcalled me. Upon this, my friend argued with him. The individual attacked my friend with a knife."

FOOTAGE OF THE INCIDENT EMERGED

Police obtained footage of the moment of the incident. In the footage, the fight that took place and the suspect holding a knife after the incident were visible.

7 PRIOR CRIMINAL RECORDS FOUND

The identity of the suspect, who disappeared after the incident, was determined. Police identified the person as 56-year-old Ali K.Ş., who has 7 prior criminal records. As a result of the pursuit, the suspect was caught in Kadıköy along with the black-handled knife. The suspect, Ali K.Ş., claimed that he was catcalled while walking on the street and that a fight broke out because of this. Following the investigation, the suspect was sent to the courthouse. The suspect, who was sent to the courthouse, was arrested and sent to prison.
