Müsavat Dervişoğlu: You cannot solve problems with those who lack the face to face the citizens

Addressing the people of Ödemiş afterward, Dervişoğlu stated that the country is facing significant problems, saying:

"I know that Turkey is facing very important problems. We are going through a serious crisis environment. We have retirees who cannot make ends meet, fixed-wage earners and fixed-income individuals trying to find solutions to their troubles, and farmers who cannot overcome their difficulties.

The troubles are growing every day. The crisis is not in just one area. It is not just an economic crisis. There is a crisis in many areas. There is a crisis in the economy, a crisis in justice, a crisis in the judiciary, a crisis in agriculture, and a crisis in education. For a long time, Turkey has been drifting from one crisis environment to another. There is only one culprit for this crisis. Never mind that everyone is blaming each other.

There is only one person responsible for this crisis. That is Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who turned this crisis into a state regime and is trying to evolve it into a one-man rule every day. This crisis will never end until Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the People's Alliance (Cumhur İttifakı) are gone. Everyone must know this well," he said.

Stating that the citizens' trust in politics must be restored, Dervişoğlu expressed that politics is a field that should produce solutions, and continued as follows:

"Anatolia is continuing its journey by carrying its troubles on its back to overcome these crises and by weaving solutions stitch by stitch. We are met with great favor and love everywhere we go. May God be pleased with those who love us. But love is not enough. A common struggle must be kept alive and sustained together.

Therefore, saying 'Müsavat Dervişoğlu, you are an upright man, you are a man of integrity, you are a man who does not mince words' is not enough. I will continue to not mince my words, and I will continue to ask for your prayers and support. This is what needs to be done. Appreciation and favor must be turned into political preference. Politics is trapped in a narrow space. Politics is dealing with small matters. When viewed by the citizen, politics has turned into an institution that does not produce any solutions but tends to produce problems within itself. If the farmer has a problem, politics solves it. If the civil servant has a problem, politics solves it.

If the youth has a problem, politics solves it. If there is a meritocracy problem in this country, politics solves it. It is solved by the citizen trusting the politician. But for a long time, they have been trying to reduce the citizen's trust in politics. Just as not everyone in state administration is an abuser, exploiter, or prone to corruption, there are also valuable people in politics. You are obliged to protect your children who have emerged from among you as politicians. If you do not protect the politician, you cannot solve the problems. But if you are asking 'Who will we lean on?', here I am, Müsavat Dervişoğlu. I have leaned my back on a great mountain like you. You will also lean on me. And together, with God's permission, we will succeed in achieving these. Otherwise, you cannot solve any problem with politicians who do not have the face or courage to face the citizens."

Agriculture and industry plan

Emphasizing that Ödemiş has fertile agricultural lands, Dervişoğlu said that a system where farmers lose money cannot be accepted. Noting that the agricultural sector should be supported by industry and logistics, Dervişoğlu said, "There is a need for serious planning and incentive support planning in this regard. In addition, industry and logistics planning must be done alongside agriculture. Potatoes that do not fetch five liras in the field are 40 liras in İzmir. This order must be changed. That is why we must fight. This happens with planning. This happens with effort. This does not happen by being a sidekick to this or that, or by handing out favors to this or that. You need conscientious, open-faced children who will defend the rights and laws of the citizens. You must protect them," he said.

Job promise to the youth

Expressing that young people are being driven to despair due to unemployment and meritocracy problems, Dervişoğlu stated that they will establish a system where university graduate youth will not remain unemployed, and continued:

"Young people who have lost their hope, young people whose hopes have been stolen, young people who have fled from production in the field and have given up looking for work so as not to be victims of the interview cycle in this meritless environment because they cannot find a job. Despite their higher education and their families' efforts to contribute to their education with all their savings, they cannot find a response to their expectations in these lands, in this country.

I promise you. Not a single child of ours who is a university graduate will remain unemployed in this country. I promise this. No producer's product will remain in the field. I promise this.

Those who hand out the resources and opportunities of this country to their cronies will never, ever go unaccounted for. I also promise this. But I want your support. I want you to protect your children. We continue to work day and night with our deputies, party organization heads and managers, as well as our general administrative board and presidential council members, and our deputy chairmen.

This is a caravan of struggle. This requires a mobilization of the heart. Traveling the world alone means nothing. Together with you, not as your leader and flag-bearer; but as your companion in struggle and journey, I am a candidate to save this country."

Message to İYİ Party

Continuing his speech, Dervişoğlu also stated that his party has faced various obstacles in the political process, saying, "İYİ Party is the party on which the most games are played. But what happened? Despite them setting all kinds of traps, we overcame them one by one. Despite them putting all kinds of obstacles in front of us, we jumped over them one by one. Thank God, we continue to be the hope of the great Turkish nation. No matter what project of betrayal others are chasing, we will continue to walk, with God's permission, after Mustafa Kemal, after the Republic he founded, after the flag that waves thanks to him, and after the call to prayer that echoes thanks to him," he said.
