CHP Erzincan Deputy Mustafa Sarıgül made statements on his social media account regarding the Kobani events
In the case regarding the 'October 6-8 events', in which former Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) co-chairs Selahattin Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ were also tried, Yüksekdağ was sentenced to 30 years and 3 months in prison, while Selahattin Demirtaş was sentenced to 28 years and 6 months. CHP Erzincan Deputy Mustafa Sarıgül also directed criticism at these decisions, stating the following:
