Naci Görür issues warning after earthquake in Muş: 'We worry about such earthquakes'
Earthquake expert Prof. Dr. Naci Görür issued warnings following the earthquake that occurred in the Varto district of Muş. Sharing on his X account, Görür stated, "Earthquakes are expected in this region on both the NAF and the EAF. For this reason, we worry about such earthquakes."
A magnitude 3.6 earthquake occurred in the Varto district of Muş. According to AFAD data, the tremor was recorded at a depth of 6.99 km.
Prof. Dr. Naci Görür stated that the earthquake, which was felt in Bingöl and Erzurum as well as Muş, was of a scale that raises concerns for the North Anatolian Fault Line and the East Anatolian Fault Line.
"WE WORRY ABOUT SUCH EARTHQUAKES"
Görür said the following on his social media account:
"A 4.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in Alabalık-Varto/Muş. The earthquake is exactly at the intersection point of the NAF and the EAF. Earthquakes are expected in this region on both the NAF and the EAF. For this reason, we worry about such earthquakes. We are concerned that this relatively small earthquake could be the final straw. With love"
