Following the arrest of Salim Güran, the uncle of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing in Diyarbakır on August 21, her mother Yüksel Güran has spoken for the first time.
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç stated regarding the arrest of uncle Salim Güran following the disappearance of 8-year-old Narin Güran, "There was suspicion, the arrest decision was a precautionary measure."
Salim Güran had been arrested on charges of 'intentional killing' and 'deprivation of liberty'.
MOTHER SPEAKS FOR THE FIRST TIME
Speaking to journalist Canan Altuntaş after the arrest decision, mother Güran responded to the questions directed at her as follows:
The Mukhtar was seen in the village at six o'clock, did anyone from your side see him?
"No, I saw the Mukhtar. I don't know what time it was, I went down, turned on my circuit breaker, and looked; he was sitting there with his uncle. I saw him in front of the house. The Mukhtar goes to the field, he is a farmer. His clothes were muddy, he was doing his work. Maybe he had some business.
Why did you go down?
I told the commissioner too. He said you saw the Mukhtar, at first I didn't remember. Then I went outside, I knocked on the door again. I said, "I am not in my right mind, excuse me, it was coming up to seven o'clock, at six-six thirty I saw the Mukhtar next to his uncle." That is all."
