1 ton 719 kg of drugs seized in Narkogüç Operation!

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced in a statement on his social media account that 1 ton 719 kilograms of drugs were seized and 36 suspects were apprehended in the “Narkogüç-38” operation, which was carried out in 8 provinces—Istanbul, Diyarbakır, Hakkari, Zonguldak, Edirne, Bursa, Tekirdağ, and Osmaniye—targeting drug dealers who manufacture and sell narcotics.

"36 SUSPECTS APPREHENDED"

Minister Yerlikaya stated that 36 suspected drug dealers were apprehended in the operations and provided the following information:

"I want our noble nation to know that we will not give any breathing room to these drug dealers who poison our youth and our future. We are on their heels at every moment. In the operation carried out by our Istanbul Narcotics Crimes Combat Branch Directorate's Operation and Investigation Bureau in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul; 33 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 116 kg of liquid methamphetamine, 2 precision scales, and materials used in drug production were seized. 1 foreign national drug dealer was apprehended.

In the operation carried out by the Diyarbakır Provincial Gendarmerie Command; 1 ton 480 kg of cannabis and 1,700 cannabis plants were seized. 1 drug dealer was apprehended. In the operation carried out by the Hakkari Provincial Gendarmerie Command; 34 kg of methamphetamine and various amounts of morphine were seized. 1 drug dealer was apprehended.

In the operation carried out by the Zonguldak Provincial Gendarmerie Command; various amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine, bonzai, and synthetic pills were seized. 20 drug dealers were apprehended.

In the operation carried out by the Edirne Provincial Security Directorate; 9 kg of skunk was seized.

In the operation carried out by our Bursa Provincial Security Directorate Narcotics Crimes Combat Branch Directorate; 1 kg 300 grams of bonzai was seized.

In the operation carried out by the Tekirdağ Provincial Gendarmerie Command; various amounts of drugs were seized. 11 drug dealers were apprehended.

In the operation carried out by the Osmaniye Provincial Security Directorate; 46 kg 200 gr of skunk and 900 gr of powdered cannabis were seized. 2 drug dealers were apprehended.

I congratulate our heroic gendarmerie and our heroic police who carried out the operation. May God protect them. Our fight against drug dealers who poison our people, against terrorist organizations, and against organized crime groups will continue with determination."
