Nasuh Mahruki arrested following investigation

In recent days, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Press Crimes Investigation Bureau announced that an investigation had been launched into Nasuh Mahruki.

The statement from the prosecutor's office indicated that an investigation was initiated against Nasuh Mahruki for 'publicly disseminating misleading information' and 'publicly denigrating judicial bodies' due to the expressions he used in his social media posts.

While there was curiosity regarding what the decision for Nasuh Mahruki would be, Mahruki most recently made statements on his X social media account.

Mahruki announced the news that he had been referred for arrest with the following words:

The prosecutor was assigned yesterday, and I came to the Prosecutor's Office this morning to give my statement. The meeting went very well, but I have been referred for arrest. I am waiting to appear before the judge.
