National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler speaks during Uzbekistan visit
National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler stated that they will carry out serious and intensive work with Uzbekistan in the coming period, saying, "As two brotherly countries, we will make every effort to take our relations to higher levels, hand in hand."
According to a statement from the Ministry of National Defense, in the first stop of his visit to Uzbekistan, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler visited Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Uzbekistan Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Bakhodir Kurbanov was also present at the reception at the Presidential Palace.
Minister Güler made the following remarks in his statement after the meeting:
"We are in our ancestral homeland today, which is a great joy for us. First of all, we paid our visit to the President. Very important decisions were made with him on almost every subject. We will hopefully put these into practice as soon as possible. We will work together with my brother, the Minister of Defense, and we will hopefully implement the directives of our President as soon as possible. I would like to convey the greetings and best wishes of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to our Uzbek brothers. Furthermore, we will carry out serious and more intensive work in the coming period. And as two brotherly countries, we will make every effort to take our relations to higher levels, hand in hand."
