National tennis player Altuğ Çelikbilek suffered a brain hemorrhage at a tournament he was participating in in Tunisia. It was announced that the 28-year-old athlete will be brought to Turkey for surgery.
In a statement regarding the matter, the Turkish Tennis Federation said, "The health condition of our national athlete Altuğ Çelikbilek, who fell ill during a match at the M15 Monastir tournament held in Tunisia, is being closely monitored by our federation and our Embassy in Tunisia, and all necessary support is being provided to our athlete and his family. We wish our athlete a speedy recovery and respectfully inform the tennis community."
