NATO protest by TKH in front of Trump Tower: The security problem of this country is NATO!

In the press statement read during the protest, which was attended by TKH General Chair Aysel Tekerek, the NATO summit to be held in Ankara in July was recalled, stating: “The Johnnies who rained bombs on Baghdad, Damascus, and Gaza yesterday have turned the streets of Tehran and Tabriz into a bloodbath today. If we do not want to see the same scenes on the streets of Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir tomorrow, we cannot allow the existence of NATO or Trump's visit to Turkey.”

The press statement included the following remarks:

“There is no place in this country for the name or the existence of NATO and Trump!

Our region and various geographies of the world are burning in flames. It is becoming clearer by the day that the policies that imperialism is openly implementing across the world create an existential threat not only for the societies in the region but for all of humanity. The US, which guarantees its global dominance through the hegemony of the petrodollar, and its military-political-ideological apparatus, NATO, have become the undisputed symbols of tyranny today.

Imperialism has no definition other than blood, destruction, war, and tyranny. The fact that the US, which resorts to mafia-like methods in every corner of the world, is on the verge of the great destructions that the glorious empires of the past experienced and caused, has reinforced the US's necessity to act like a tyrant. The military-industrial war machine created by the “crusade” that the US waged against socialism in the 20th century is proving every day that it is the greatest “barbarism” facing humanity today.

The reason underlying the current US intervention in Iran by the chief imperialist, which has intervened in the Caucasus, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Palestine in succession starting from Yugoslavia, is to protect petrodollar hegemony and to keep the gears of the massive war machine it has created turning. As long as the gears of the US war machine turn, it is impossible for the working classes, nations, or humanity to be “liberated.” The US war machine, the existence of its armed apparatus NATO, and the existence of Zionism, its gendarme in the Middle East, are a great threat directed at all of humanity.

This great threat now aspires to turn the Greater Middle East Project into a Greater Middle East War. Iran is the first link in this, and it will not be the last. The goal is a regional fragmentation where Israel acts as a proxy force. In this context, the NATO Summit planned to be held in Turkey is not just a military meeting, but a gathering where how imperialism's regional plans will be implemented will be recorded. Holding this meeting in Turkey is unacceptable for both political and humanitarian reasons.

It is clear that the new NATO corps announced to be established before the meeting planned for July, along with the joint command planned to be established in the Straits, pose a threat to Turkey's sovereign rights. Turkey is being positioned as the military force on the ground in a regional redistribution where the plan is made in the US and Israel is designated as the proxy force. Such a position would both consolidate the power of foreign military presence in Turkey and mean that “sovereign rights” over the Straits would be up for debate.

Turkey is once again being pushed to become the mercenary of imperialism. We saw this game in Korea. Now, this mercenary role is intended to be expanded in the region or other geographies. Not a single drop of blood of Turkey's working people can be shed for the Johnnies! The laborers, patriots, and communists of this country do not accept this!

The Johnnies who rained bombs on Baghdad, Damascus, and Gaza yesterday have turned the streets of Tehran and Tabriz into a bloodbath today. If we do not want to see the same scenes on the streets of Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir tomorrow, we cannot allow the existence of NATO or Trump's visit to Turkey.
