NATO summit circular in Ankara: Administrative leave granted to civil servants in 9 districts

The Governor's Office made statements regarding the measures taken within the scope of the NATO summit to be held in Ankara. In this context, it was announced that all personnel in 9 districts across the city, excluding essential staff, will be on administrative leave between July 6 and 12. Also, as part of the measures taken, public events within the specified dates have been banned.

According to the circular, public personnel in the central districts of Ankara will be considered on administrative leave during the week of July 6-12, all public events will be suspended, and a ban on gatherings will be implemented around the Presidential Complex and the ATO Congresium.

ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE FOR CIVIL SERVANTS IN 9 DISTRICTS

The statement made by the Ankara Governor's Office is as follows: Due to the 36th NATO Heads of State and Government Summit, provided that measures are taken to ensure the continuity of the activities of public institutions and organizations and that necessary personnel are kept on duty to carry out essential services; it has been deemed appropriate for all personnel of public institutions and organizations located within the borders of the Altındağ, Çankaya, Etimesgut, Gölbaşı, Keçiören, Mamak, Pursaklar, Sincan, and Yenimahalle districts, excluding those on duty at the Summit and those working in critical service areas that will directly affect the Summit process, to be considered on administrative leave during the week of July 6-12, 2026.

ALL EVENTS BANNED

The holding of public events such as exams, symposiums, panels, graduation ceremonies, festivals, concerts, entertainment, celebrations, and similar activities by our public institutions and organizations and non-governmental organizations has been suspended between 06:00 on Monday, July 6, 2026, and 24:00 on Sunday, July 12, 2026."
