Necessary security measures taken in Ankara ahead of NATO Summit

In a statement issued by the Ankara Governor's Office, it was stated that necessary security measures have been taken within the scope of the 36th NATO Summit to be held in Ankara on July 7-8, both to ensure the security of the summit and to maintain public order, as well as to preserve the peace and security of citizens.

It was announced that a decision has been made to prohibit the entry of unauthorized vehicles and individuals into designated sensitive areas, primarily the areas where the summit will be held, the locations where delegations will stay, and the routes they will use; to ban all types of unmanned aerial vehicle flights in the Ankara airspace between the specified dates without the permission of the Governor's Office; and to prohibit gatherings, meetings, protest marches, press statements, hunger strikes, sit-ins, protest actions, rallies, setting up stands, pitching tents, distributing flyers, leaflets, and brochures, and hanging posters and banners in open and closed areas for a period of 13 days from 00:00 on June 28 to 23:59 on July 10, within the scope of Article 11/C of Law No. 5442 and Article 17 of the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No. 2911.
