Netflix to introduce a free plan
It has been suggested that the digital content platform Netflix may offer free plans in some countries. According to information from sources, Netflix aims to increase its advertising revenue by doing so.
It is claimed that Netflix will create free subscription plans to attract more users and generate advertising revenue, and that these subscriptions will be implemented in countries with lower purchasing power.
TESTED IN KENYA
According to the report by WebTekno, Netflix tested such a plan last year. Within the scope of the project implemented in Kenya, users were able to use Netflix for free but with advertisements.
Details regarding Netflix's free plans are not yet clear. However, according to sources, Netflix is not considering this program for the US because the company already has enough customers in the US.
It is stated that the plan is intended more for countries with low purchasing power. Whether Turkey will be included in this category remains uncertain for now.
