New chapter in the Diyanet escort scandal: Look what they did to cover it up!

New allegations have emerged regarding the investigations known to the public as the "escort scandal," which were conducted within the scope of the Austrian Turkish Islamic Union (ATİB) file.

According to a report by Mustafa Bildircin from Birgün, it is stated that the file contains not only payments made for "escort services and private entertainment expenses" but also a source of funds reaching approximately 1 million Euros that is alleged to have gone missing. While the source of the money has not yet been clarified, it is alleged that despite monthly salaries reaching up to 7 thousand Euros, some officials of the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) used donations and aid in an irregular manner.

THE MEDICAL REPORT DETAIL IS SHOCKING

The most striking allegation in the file concerns an individual identified as E., who is the subject of a separate investigation. According to the allegations, E. was asked to obtain a doctor's report to "prove that they did not engage in sexual intercourse," and this report was entered into official records as evidence. It is also alleged that E.'s file was closed by a relative of a person who had served as a minister in Turkey.

ATİB'S STATEMENT

Following the scandal's reflection in the press, a written statement was issued by the ATİB administration, in which the "escort allegations" were not directly denied, but it was stated that the events in question belonged to a previous period and that the individuals mentioned had been dismissed from the institution.
