The terminal buildings of Atatürk Airport have become a 'technopark' with a decision signed by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, which was published in the Official Gazette. Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır announced the development, stating that this new technopark, established under the Bilişim Vadisi (Informatics Valley), will operate under the name 'Terminal İstanbul'.
In a statement made via social media, Minister Kacır said, "The technopark established under Bilişim Vadisi will serve as the world's largest technology entrepreneurship center under the 'Terminal İstanbul' brand." Expressing that thousands of technology startups will be born, grow, and meet with investors at this center, Kacır emphasized that Istanbul will become a global hub for entrepreneurship.
The science center, software and artificial intelligence school, and technology workshops to be established within the technopark will offer education and development opportunities for different age groups. By collaborating with many stakeholder institutions from both the public and private sectors, this massive center aims to strengthen Istanbul's position in the fields of technology and entrepreneurship.
