New detail regarding the collapsed building in Bahçelievler: It was revealed to have been built with sea sand

Bahçelievler Yadigar Street, where the building partially collapsed yesterday, was captured on camera. It was revealed that sea sand was used in the construction of the building, which was built in 1980 and later had 4 illegal floors added to it.

Seashells that appeared in the columns and concrete fragments found in the rubble drew attention.

On the other hand, while it was observed that the concrete pieces found in the rubble could be broken by hand, it was learned that sea sand had an impact on the building's collapse.

Meanwhile, the extent of the damage to the buildings that were affected when the building collapsed and from which core samples were taken yesterday became clearly visible after the rubble of the collapsed building was removed.

Decisions regarding these buildings will be made following the laboratory results of the core samples taken from the 3 buildings.

Extensive security measures by police and municipal teams continue on the street.
