New details on the death of a 16-year-old in a knife fight in Büyükçekmece: Criminal records

The incident took place in the Muratçeşme neighborhood on Sunday, May 10.

A fight broke out between 4 children for an undetermined reason, and E.B. (16) and M.A.D. (17) attacked children named Abdulbaki Demirel (16) and S.I. (15) with knives they were carrying.

The two children, left covered in blood from the knife wounds, collapsed to the ground, while the attackers fled the scene.

Following the initial intervention by medical teams, Abdulbaki Demirel and S.I. were taken to the hospital as wounded, but despite the interventions performed at the hospital, Abdulbaki Demirel lost his life.

E.B. (16) and M.A.D. (17), who were taken into custody regarding the incident, were arrested by the judicial authorities to whom they were referred.

Suspects found to have numerous criminal records

On the other hand, new details have emerged regarding the incident.

It was determined that there was a prior feud between the deceased Abdulbaki Demirel and the other perpetrators involved in the incident.

It was revealed that the children involved in the incident have numerous criminal records. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
