New details emerge on the school life of the Kahramanmaraş school shooter: 'He was constantly scribbling in his notebook'

It was announced that the perpetrator, an 8th-grade student at Ayser Çalık Secondary School, had arrived at the school with 5 guns and 7 magazines belonging to his father, a former police officer, and that he lost his life during the chaos after killing 8 students and 1 teacher.

Following the incident, a teacher, whose name was kept confidential for security reasons, described the attacker as having lived an extremely introverted and socially isolated life at school.

Stating that the student attended school regularly but did not participate in lessons, the teacher noted that instead of listening to the lectures, the perpetrator would put his head on his desk and scribble in his notebook for hours.

"HE HAD ALMOST NO FRIENDS"

According to the report by Gülseven Özkan from Kısa Dalga, the educator pointed out that the perpetrator's social relationships at school were very weak, adding that the child had almost no friends, walked alone in the garden during breaks, and did not communicate with anyone.

Speaking about the "history of violence," one of the most curious topics following the attack, the teacher emphasized that the perpetrator had not been involved in any fights at school before, had not received any disciplinary action, and that no anger towards his teachers or friends had been observed.

The report also touched upon various claims regarding the student's past, stating that unconfirmed rumors were circulating within the school that the perpetrator had previously attended a rehabilitation center and played violent games at home.

Furthermore, it was noted that while the previous school principal had described the perpetrator as "high IQ and very successful," his current teachers could not observe this due to his lack of interest in lessons, and that the perpetrator would occasionally walk in a striking manner, like a "tough guy," with his jacket thrown over his shoulder.
