New development following the release of Nihal Candan

Sisters Bahar and Nihal Candan, well-known to the public, were arrested on November 16, 2023, on charges including membership in a criminal organization and money laundering.

Nihal Candan, who was being held at Marmara Prison, was released recently due to health issues. 

While it was claimed that Nihal Candan had lost weight due to anorexia and that her immune system was on the verge of collapse, a new development has occurred regarding the case.

Journalist Emrullah Erdinç, who has been closely following the case, stated that the lawyers for the complainants have appealed the release decision and that if the appeal is found to be justified, Nihal Candan could be sent back to prison.

Journalist Emrullah Erdinç shared the appeal documents submitted to the court regarding the Candan case on his social media account.

In his post, Erdinç stated, "The lawyers for the complainants have appealed the release of Nihal Candan due to health issues. If the appeal is found to be justified, Nihal Candan will face the prospect of returning to prison. Here is the document for that appeal."
