New development in İmamoğlu's diploma case
There has been a change in the date for the hearing of Ekrem İmamoğlu's diploma case.
The hearing date for the lawsuit filed regarding Ekrem İmamoğlu's university diploma has been changed.
According to a report on Sözcü TV, a lawsuit was filed against Ekrem İmamoğlu for "forgery of official documents in a chain" following the alleged cancellation of his university diploma. A prison sentence of up to 8 years and 9 months was requested for İmamoğlu.
The first hearing of the case in which İmamoğlu is to be tried was scheduled for September 11. However, the date of the hearing has been changed. The case, which was supposed to be heard at the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan, has been moved to the Prison Courtroom in Silivri. The date of the hearing has also been moved from September 11 to September 12.
