New development in the 5th wave operation targeting the IMM
In the 5th wave investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), 36 people were referred to the courthouse. As part of the operations, one person was arrested, while one person was released due to health issues.
A new development has occurred in the 5th wave operation launched against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) within the scope of "financial crimes." Within the framework of the investigation coordinated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, detention warrants were issued for 47 people on Saturday, May 31.
Following the operations carried out by law enforcement forces, 38 people who were detained were taken to the hospital for health checks after their processing.
The 36 people whose procedures at the police station were completed were referred to the courthouse in the morning under heavy security measures.
One of those detained within the scope of the investigation was arrested by the court and sent to prison. Another person was released due to health issues.
