Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya made a statement regarding the armed attack on former football player Serhat Akın.
The statement made by Minister Yerlikaya on his social media account is as follows:
"As a result of the work carried out by our Istanbul Police Department regarding the incident in which football commentator Serhat Akın was injured in the Kavacık neighborhood of Beykoz district:
It has been determined that the motorcycle used to carry out the incident moved in coordination with a vehicle present at the scene, and efforts to apprehend the suspects have been initiated.
It has been determined that the individuals involved in the incident are E.Ü., M.A., O.D., and O.M. E.Ü. and M.A., who provided aid and abetting, have been apprehended.
Efforts to apprehend O.M., who drove the motorcycle, and O.D., who fired the weapon, are continuing.
The investigation regarding the matter is being conducted meticulously."
