New development in the dismembered body investigation in Pendik
Following the discovery of a dismembered male body in 4 separate trash containers in Pendik, Istanbul yesterday, police teams launched an investigation and have detained 1 person in connection with the incident.
A person named B. D. has been detained in connection with the murder of 79-year-old Nihat Salih, whose body was dismembered and thrown into trash containers in Pendik.
In security camera footage of the detained suspect B. D., it was determined that he threw items into the container where the body was found and then tossed a white bucket he was holding into a green area.
In the security camera recordings of the scene, a suspicious individual was seen approaching the trash container, and after throwing something into it, tossing the white bucket in his hand into the green area.
Based on this footage, police teams detained B. D. and took him to the Public Security Branch Directorate.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
