The indictment prepared against Ogün Samast, the killer of Agos Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Hrant Dink, seeking a prison sentence of 7 years and 6 months to 12 years for the crime of "committing a crime on behalf of an armed terrorist organization without being a member," has been accepted by the Istanbul 2nd Juvenile High Criminal Court. Ogün Samast will appear before the judge on December 26.
Ogün Samast, who murdered Agos Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Hrant Dink on January 19, 2007, was released from the prison where he was being held on November 15, 2023, after completing his 16-year sentence.
