New development in the investigation into IMM: Arrest warrant issued for another person
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has issued an arrest warrant for Murat Gülibrahimoğlu, whose assets were previously seized, as part of its financial crimes investigation into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), on charges of "membership in a criminal organization," "money laundering," and "tax fraud."
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has taken a significant step regarding the comprehensive investigation file launched into financial crimes involving the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM). Within the scope of the investigation, an arrest warrant has now been issued for Murat Gülibrahimoğlu, whose assets had previously been seized.
INVESTIGATION ON THREE SEPARATE CHARGES
The prosecutor's office has initiated proceedings against Murat Gülibrahimoğlu for "membership in an organization for the purpose of committing a crime," "concealing the illicit source of assets" (money laundering), and "violation of the Tax Procedure Law."
Within the scope of the ongoing investigation file, Gülibrahimoğlu's financial transactions, company connections, and assets have been placed under scrutiny.
ASSETS HAD BEEN SEIZED
In the initial phase of the investigation, many of Murat Gülibrahimoğlu's assets, including real estate, bank accounts, and commercial partnerships, had been seized by court order.
During this process, the suspect's commercial relations with the IMM have also been placed under investigation.
