New development in the terrorist attack at the Istanbul Courthouse: Suspects referred to the courthouse
The suspects detained as part of the investigation into the terrorist attack carried out in front of the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan, which resulted in the death of one person, have been referred to the courthouse.

On Tuesday, February 6, an armed attack was carried out against the police checkpoint in front of the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan by two cell members of the terrorist organization DHKP/C, identified as Emrah Yayla and Pınar Birkoç. The two terrorists were neutralized in the ensuing clash after police returned fire.
While 7 people, including 3 police officers and 4 civilians, were injured by the fire opened by organization members Birkoç and Yayla, one woman who was taken to the hospital in critical condition lost her life despite all medical interventions.
SUSPECTS REFERRED TO THE COURTHOUSE
The police interrogation of the suspects detained within the scope of the investigation into the incident has been completed.
The 94 suspects detained during raids on nearly 70 addresses were taken to the hospital for health checks under heavy security measures early in the morning.
Following their health checks at the hospital, the suspects were referred to the Istanbul Courthouse, where the investigation is being conducted.
