New development in the Kartalkaya hotel fire case: Another arrest made
Following the completion of the expert report regarding the fire tragedy at the Grand Kartal Hotel in Bolu, which claimed 78 lives, the Licensing and Inspection Manager of the Bolu Provincial Special Administration has been taken into custody.
In the fire that broke out on the night of January 21 at the Grand Kartal Hotel in the Kartalkaya Ski Center in Bolu, 78 people lost their lives, and 31 people were taken into custody as part of the investigation conducted by the Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Among the 22 suspects arrested were the hotel owner Halit Ergül, general manager Emir Aras, Deputy Mayor of Bolu responsible for the fire department Sedat Gülener, Secretary General of the Provincial Special Administration Sırrı Köstereli, and Acting Fire Department Chief Kenan Coşkun.

The expert committee report on the fire tragedy has been completed and submitted to the Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
The report determined that the Bolu Municipality, the Bolu Provincial Special Administration, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security were primarily responsible. Following these developments, Yeliz E., the Licensing and Inspection Manager of the Bolu Provincial Special Administration, was taken into custody.
