New development in visa-on-arrival program: Greece announces!

The Greek Embassy in Ankara announced in a post on its X account that the number of islands where the program is valid has been increased.

Accordingly, the express visa program that Greece launched for 5 Aegean islands as of March 30 will be valid for 10 Aegean islands starting today.

In addition to the islands of Kos (İstanköy), Lesvos (Midilli), Rhodes (Rodos), Samos (Sisam), and Chios (Sakız), visitors from Turkey will now also be able to benefit from the express visa program on the islands of Leros (İleryoz), Lemnos (Limni), Kalymnos (Kelemez), Kastellorizo (Meis), and Symi (Sömbeki).

Turkish visitors who wish to benefit from the express visa program must submit the required documents along with an application form to the authorized Greek authorities.

The necessary documents are submitted to the authorized units at the entry points to the islands; however, it is recommended that the documents be submitted to the travel agencies organizing ferry services between the islands and Turkey before the visit to avoid waiting times at entry.
