New development regarding Dilan Polat, who attempted suicide! Will she be released?

The couple Dilan Polat and Engin Polat, who frequently made headlines with their luxurious lifestyle and whose source of income was a subject of curiosity, were taken into custody on November 1. The couple, against whom an investigation was launched for money laundering, tax evasion, and establishing a criminal organization, were arrested and sent to prison.

On April 19, while a release decision was issued for the charge of violating the Tax Procedure Law within the scope of the first investigation opened against the Polat family regarding money laundering, it was ruled that her detention would continue in the case regarding the shooting at Banu Parlak's workplace, which is ongoing at the Küçükçekmece Courthouse.

Polat, who suffered a nervous breakdown in the prison where she is being held, asking 'Why is the release decision not being implemented?', attempted suicide.

While Polat, who harmed herself, is receiving treatment in prison, a new development has occurred regarding Polat, who has been in prison for 6 months.

HER LAWYER REQUESTED RELEASE

According to a report by Arzu Kaya from Sabah newspaper, it has been learned that Polat's lawyer has requested her release on the grounds that she is not fit to remain in prison due to health problems and has submitted a petition to the prosecutor's office where the investigation is being conducted.

PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE REQUESTED A REPORT

The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office wrote to the Bakırköy Women's Closed Penal Execution Institution and decided to refer Dilan Polat to the nearest Council of Forensic Medicine unit.

It was also learned that the prosecutor's office requested a report on whether Polat's continued detention under prison conditions poses a danger to her health and whether there is any medical objection to her remaining under prison conditions.
