An accountant who bargained over the price of a stent with a patient during an angiogram procedure at a private hospital in Istanbul has been arrested by the Bakırköy Criminal Court of Peace.
In an incident that took place at the Private Aile Hospital in Istanbul, footage emerged showing a stent price negotiation taking place with a patient during an angiogram procedure.
As part of the investigations conducted, the operations of the hospital's angiography unit were suspended.
Within the scope of the investigation launched by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident, the accountant, identified as H.Y., was taken into custody.
The accountant, H.Y., who was referred to the courthouse, was arrested by the Bakırköy Criminal Court of Peace on charges of 'fraud by taking advantage of a person's dangerous situation or difficult circumstances' and was sent to prison.
