New development regarding the imprisoned Rıza Akpolat
It has been learned that Rıza Akpolat, who was arrested and removed from his post as Mayor of Beşiktaş, will be transferred from Paşakapısı Prison to Silivri Prison.
CHP Deputy Chairpersons Gül Çiftçi and Gökçe Gökçen visited the imprisoned Mayor of Beşiktaş, Rıza Akpolat.

Sharing a post on her social media account following the visit, Çiftçi announced that they had received information that Akpolat would be transferred from Paşakapısı Prison, where he is currently being held, to Silivri.
Çiftçi stated, "We have just received information that they will transfer our Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat from Paşakapısı Prison, where he is being held, to Silivri. They kept him in poor conditions in a detention cell for 4 days and referred him to the prosecutor's office without taking his statement at the police station. Following the arrest decision, they first took him to Metris and then to Paşakapısı Prison. Now, they are transferring him to Silivri Prison without even giving him a chance to rest. From the very beginning, the government has been implementing an organized policy of deterrence against Rıza Akpolat."
