A total of 14 immunity files concerning 12 members of parliament, including CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and İYİ Party Group Deputy Chairman Turhan Çömez, have been submitted to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).
The presidential summaries regarding the lifting of legislative immunity have been referred by the Speaker's Office to the Joint Committee, composed of members of the Constitutional and Justice Commissions.
The files referred to the Joint Committee include those of CHP Chairman Özel, İYİ Party Group Deputy Chairman Çömez, CHP Erzincan Deputy Mustafa Sarıgül, CHP Çanakkale Deputy İsmet Güneşhan, CHP Zonguldak Deputy Eylem Ertuğ Ertuğrul, CHP Sivas Deputy Ulaş Karasu, CHP Aydın Deputy Süleyman Bülbül, CHP İstanbul Deputy Cemal Enginyurt, CHP Karabük Deputy Cevdet Akay, İYİ Party Afyonkarahisar Deputy Hakan Şeref Olgun, New Way Party (YRP) Ankara Deputy Mesut Doğan, and TİP İstanbul Deputy Ahmet Şık.
