The upper limit is expected to remain as it is, at 2 years. If the proposal is accepted, individuals who drive under the influence will be required to stay in prison for a minimum of 36 days and a maximum of 144 days.

- The fine for driving under the influence, which is 9 thousand 267 liras, will be increased to 50 thousand liras, and the license suspension period will be increased from 6 months to 1 year. The penalty for driving under the influence of drugs will be increased from 47 thousand 842 liras to 100 thousand liras, and the license revocation period will continue to be applied as 5 years, as it is currently.

- The penalty for drifting in traffic will be increased from 46 thousand 392 liras to 80 thousand liras, and the license suspension period will be increased from 60 days to one year. The penalty for reckless lane changing, which is also 9 thousand 267 liras, will be applied as 50 thousand liras, and the driver's license will be revoked for one year.

- The package also envisions increasing the penalty for driving without a license from 18 thousand 677 liras to 40 thousand liras. The fine for those who do not yield to ambulances, police, and fire trucks in traffic is being increased from 993 liras to 20 thousand liras.
