New 'LGS' allegations from CHP's Adıgüzel: 'It resembles FETÖ tactics'

Although the LGS exams are now in the past, it has not gone unnoticed that the success rate has skyrocketed despite it being perhaps the most difficult exam held to date.

With the announcement of the results, the unusually high number of winners in certain schools has raised questions, while the harsh statements made by Minister of National Education Tekin have been met with backlash.

Finally, in an effort to remove the issue from the agenda, AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan also made a statement regarding the LGS debates, telling people to "leave the children alone." 

While the AKP front is trying to push the LGS issue off the agenda with a series of statements, new allegations regarding the matter are being raised by the opposition.

Most recently, CHP's Mustafa Adıgüzel made new allegations regarding the LGS on his social media account. Stating that the events are not limited to İmam Hatip schools and that there is an attempt to distort the issue, Adıgüzel said the following:

"There are serious allegations not only of questions being leaked in the LGS, but also of some candidates' answer keys being altered to ensure they receive full or near-full marks.

This matter is not related to or limited to İmam Hatip schools. Do not attempt to distort the issue through a narrative of victimhood.

And this is a national security issue; the scandal that has occurred, as well as the methods and ways used, resemble FETÖ tactics.

The 1% percentile requirement in the Ministry's new Project Schools Regulation,  followed immediately by the extraordinarily high  score rates in the LGS, is no coincidence.

Immediately conduct a broad investigation, including fingerprint verification of answer sheets and matching of answer keys with question booklets. Publish the provinces, districts, schools, and scores of the top 10,000 students, excluding their national ID numbers.

If Yusuf Tekin, who has been caught red-handed, wants to clear himself and the ministry, and if we do not want the trust of our more than 1 million children in justice and the state to be damaged, launch a 'clean hands' operation in the LGS immediately. 

You cannot get away with this by finding a few scapegoats through an internal investigation. 

Let the truth come to light.
