New move from Serdar Bilgili, whose name appeared in drug and fake invoice investigations: He responded to Sabah Newspaper

Famous businessman and former Beşiktaş President Serdar Bilgili became a topic of media attention following the arrest of Ela Rümeysa Cebeci as part of a drug operation. A report in Sabah newspaper included accusations of fake invoicing alongside Bilgili's name. While Bilgili's name was mentioned by a witness who testified regarding Cebeci as someone she had a relationship with, the accusations spread rapidly on social media.

CEBECİ'S CONFESSION AND THE ALLEGATIONS DIRECTED AT BİLGİLİ

It was alleged that in the drug operation where former Habertürk TV Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Akif Ersoy was arrested, Cebeci confessed to having a relationship with Serdar Bilgili. However, no accusations were included in Ersoy's statements. Cebeci's disclosure of her relationship with Bilgili caused a wide stir on social media, but no accusations were found in official documents.

In the Sabah newspaper report, accusations of "fake invoicing" and "tax evasion" were leveled against Bilgili. However, it was noted that these accusations were reflected in the report without being based on any concrete evidence and without Bilgili being directly accused.

DENIAL STATEMENT FROM BİLGİLİ HOLDİNG

In a statement made following the report, Bilgili Holding argued that the accusations in Sabah newspaper were lies and that the journalist had deliberately distorted the news. The holding claimed that this report was intentionally created by certain individuals who are in a dispute with Bilgili Holding. The statement emphasized that the report was baseless and untrue, and noted that the "X agenda" was used deliberately.

In its statement, Bilgili Holding sent a message that Bilgili would continue to invest in Turkey. The statement, published in many media outlets on December 30 under the headline "We continue to invest in and create value for Turkey," was released as an advertisement. Bilgili Holding announced that it would use all its legal rights against such reports and would fight against attacks on its reputation.

ALLEGATION THAT BİLGİLİ WENT TO THE USA

Oda TV claimed on December 31 that Serdar Bilgili had gone to the USA. In this report, published under the headline of an exclusive story, a statement was made saying, "Serdar Bilgili, who is alleged to have been with Ela Rümeysa Cebeci, has gone to the USA." However, this claim was also reported without being based on any concrete information.

STATEMENT FROM BİLGİLİ'S LAWYER

Serdar Bilgili's lawyer, Doğukan Bora Savaş, reiterated in a statement sent to media outlets that the report was untrue. Savaş made a statement regarding a systematic effort to smear Bilgili's name and that legal avenues would be pursued. Furthermore, it was stated that criminal complaints would be filed against the individuals in question and that compensation lawsuits would be initiated.
