New move from the Ministry of Justice for FETÖ fugitives! Enes Kanter is among them
Turkey has taken a new step with updated requests for the extradition of 52 individuals abroad who are alleged to have links to FETÖ. The list includes high-ranking members of the organization, former public officials, and basketball player Enes Kanter.
The Ministry of Justice is conducting a new effort to secure the extradition to Turkey of individuals who are fugitives abroad and are subject to legal proceedings within the scope of FETÖ. It was stated that extradition request files for 52 people have been updated in the first phase of this effort.
It was reported that the investigation and case files regarding the December 17-25 process, the July 15 coup attempt, judicial and police structures, media activities, and the organization's financial network were re-examined in the prepared files. It was noted that some previous extradition requests sent to various countries were not accepted due to claims of "refugee status," "political reasons," and "ill-treatment."
FILES REGARDING JUDICIAL, POLICE, AND MEDIA CONNECTIONS UPDATED
According to the report in the Sabah newspaper, it was stated that former prosecutors Zekeriya Öz, Celal Kara, Fikret Seçen, Cihan Kansız, and Ahmet Can are also among those whose extradition files have been updated. It was noted that the files include allegations that these individuals acted for organizational purposes and played roles in irregular procedures during certain investigation processes.
It was reported that Osman Hilmi Özdil, Tuncay Opçin, Adem Yavuz Arslan, Emrullah (Emre) Uslu, and Muammer İhsan Kalkavan, who are alleged to be linked to the police and media structures, are also among those whose extradition requests have been updated.
HIGH-LEVEL NAMES ALSO INCLUDED IN THE FILES
It was reported that Mustafa Özcan, Abdullah Aymaz, Cevdet Türkyolu, Şeref Ali Tekalan, Ekrem Dumanlı, Naci Tosun, Ahmet Kara, İsmail Büyükçelebi, Ahmet Kurucan, and Sait Aksoy are also included in the updated files prepared by the Ministry. It was stated that assessments regarding these individuals' positions in the organization's high-level structure have been incorporated into the files.
