New name for Constitutional Court membership: Erdoğan signed
Supreme Court of Appeals member Şaban Kazdal has been elected as a new member of the Constitutional Court with the signature of President Tayyip Erdoğan.
The decision numbered 33206, which entered into force upon its publication in the Official Gazette, was announced with the following statements:
"In accordance with Articles 146 and 147 of the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey and Articles 6, 7, and 10 of Law No. 6216 on the Establishment and Rules of Procedure of the Constitutional Court, Supreme Court of Appeals member Şaban Kazdal has been elected from among the three candidates nominated by the General Assembly of the Supreme Court of Appeals to the membership of the Constitutional Court."
