A new security and traffic measure has been added ahead of the NATO Summit to be held in Ankara. The Ankara Governor's Office has announced that the entry of certain heavy-tonnage vehicles into the city has been temporarily prohibited.

According to the statement from the Governor's Office, fuel tankers, concrete mixers, tractor units, and other heavy-tonnage vehicles will not be allowed into the city from 16:00 on July 5, 2026, until 10:00 on July 10, 2026.

The statement read, "Fuel tankers, concrete mixers, tractor units, and other heavy-tonnage vehicles will not be permitted to enter the city from 16:00 on July 5, 2026, until 10:00 on July 10, 2026."

It was stated that the decision will be implemented as part of urban traffic regulation and security measures during the summit.
