New possibility regarding the location of 3 of the missing miners

Search efforts for the 9 workers who went missing during the landslide that occurred on February 13 at the mine site in the village of Çöpler continue on their 4th day.

As a result of the security camera footage reviewed by the teams, metal density was detected at certain points where work is being conducted.

The "manganese mine" section, located at the back of the heap leach area where the landslide first occurred, is among the points where metal density has been identified.

MANGANESE MINE DETAIL

It is assessed that two vehicles, which were moving on the road in this area at the time of the incident, fell into the "manganese mine" located at the back of the heap leach area due to the impact of the landslide.

Some parts belonging to the vehicles were also found in this mine, which is a deep pit and has been "sloped" to prevent landslides.

Based on the security camera footage and findings, the teams are focusing on the possibility that 3 of the missing workers and 2 vehicles are at this location.

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar stated in his announcement today, "We are searching for our 9 brothers. We have determined that 3 of these friends, these brothers, these workers are in one location, and 6 are in another location."
