New post from AKP's Tayyar regarding Rezan Epözdemir and Mehmet Uçum allegations: 'The matter is closed for me'

Following the significant attention his claim received, Şamil Tayyar made a new post, stating, "My message reached its destination; I have never doubted our President's discernment." Tayyar added that if a lawsuit is filed, he will "settle the score in court" with those individuals.

Following the investigation into lawyer Rezan Epözdemir, who was detained and whose detention period was extended on allegations of "bribery," "political-military espionage," and "aiding FETÖ," a series of statements have come from AKP figures. 

Former AKP MP Şamil Tayyar claimed that Epözdemir "insistently refused to provide his mobile phone password" and alleged that "many 'influential' names," primarily Chief Advisor to the President Mehmet Uçum, were "involved." Following these allegations, Uçum's lawyer, Zeynep Yıldırım, announced that they would file a criminal complaint against Tayyar. A statement from Şamil Tayyar followed these claims.

Tayyar used the following expressions in his statement:

"My intention is not to enter into a polemic with anyone. Those who know me know that I would not shy away from it if necessary.

My message was clear; I wanted our President @RTErdogan to know what is happening.

My message reached its destination; I have never doubted our President's discernment.

In the meantime, if anyone files a lawsuit, we will settle the score in court.

My final sentence is to the clown who intervenes whenever there is a discussion on this subject: 'Do you have no honor at all? Is it worth barking here and there for three cents?' The matter is closed for me."
