New increases in fuel prices have come to the agenda with the start of September. It has been reported that following the tax-driven hike in diesel, an increase is also expected in LPG prices.

Journalist Cemil Cahit Saraçoğlu announced in a social media post that a price hike for LPG is expected starting from midnight on September 2. Saraçoğlu stated that the increase is projected to be between 1.07 TL and 1.11 TL per liter, depending on the storage facility.

In his post, Saraçoğlu stated, "A 1.07 TL hike for LPG. After the hikes in gasoline and diesel, would LPG stay behind? Starting from midnight tomorrow (September 2), a hike of between 1.07 TL and 1.11 TL is expected for LPG, depending on the storage facility."

On the other hand, the increase in the specific SCT (Special Consumption Tax) amount on diesel is expected to be reflected in pump prices as 3.60 TL per liter. The calculation also includes a 20 percent VAT added to the 3 TL SCT increase.

As of September 1, 2026, the liter prices for gasoline, diesel, and LPG in major cities are as follows:

  • - Istanbul European Side: Gasoline 74.35 TL, diesel 77.48 TL, LPG 33.79 TL.
  • - Istanbul Anatolian Side: Gasoline 74.21 TL, diesel 81.07 TL, LPG 33.19 TL.
  • - Ankara: Gasoline 75.33 TL, diesel 82.19 TL, LPG 33.89 TL.
  • - Izmir: Gasoline 75.62 TL, diesel 82.46 TL, LPG 33.79 TL.
