New questions from CHP's Yavuzyılmaz: Missing airport video footage and the crashed Libyan jet

CHP Deputy Chairman Deniz Yavuzyılmaz has made new statements on his social media account regarding the crash of a jet carrying passengers, including Libyan Chief of General Staff General Mohamed Ali Ahmed Al-Haddad, in the Haymana district of Ankara on December 23, 2025.

Stating that the footage of the aircraft should have been recorded but that the video records are missing, Yavuzyılmaz made the following statement:

"The crashed Libyan jet, the suspicious Israeli jet, and the missing camera footage!

Regarding the jet that crashed in Ankara on December 23, 2025, while carrying the Libyan Chief of General Staff,

The 1 hour and 41 minutes it spent parked at Esenboğa Airport alongside an Israeli jet that was directed to the same apron (Apron No. 5);

Should have been monitored and recorded by cameras by the DHMİ (General Directorate of State Airports Authority).

However, we have determined that the DHMİ cameras, which were supposed to monitor and record the parking positions of these two aircraft on Apron No. 5 in real-time, were not functioning on the day the plane crashed.

I am calling out to Minister of Transport Abdülkadir Uraloğlu!

If you are not complicit in this dark process, you will immediately explain why these cameras were not working on the day the plane crashed.

If you claim that the DHMI cameras, which view the parking positions of these two planes on Apron No. 5, were working on the day of the incident;

Then you should immediately release the 1 hour and 41 minutes of video in question!

Do I really have to be the one to release the 1 hour and 41 minutes of security camera footage from a private company that shows the parking positions of these two planes on the same apron?

Furthermore,

We have determined that the management of the DHMI General Directorate, which has negligence and involvement in all these processes;

Specifically Deputy General Manager Fatih Çakmak and Mustafa Akkaya, who is responsible for airport security, were practically rewarded;

And their terms of office on the DHMI board of directors were extended until April 24, 2026, by a Presidential Decree.

What is this an award for? For the cameras that weren't working? Or for the evidence that was hidden?

Another critical question for the President, the Minister of Transport, the Minister of Interior, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs

You!

While aircraft carrying foreign state officials are normally parked at Apron No. 1, which is the main apron and closest to the VIP terminal;

While the plane carrying the Libyan Chief of General Staff was directed to park at Apron No. 5 instead of Apron No. 1,

While a suspicious Israeli jet was directed to the same apron the following day,

While the Libyan plane's crew was at their hotel, and the Israeli jet was left alone with the Libyan plane for 1 hour and 41 minutes with its occupants inside,

While all of this was happening

You knew the cameras covering this area were not working, didn't you?"
