New regulation regarding APP license plates published in the Official Gazette: Free of charge
According to the regulation published in the Official Gazette, non-standard APP license plates will be replaced by authorized institutions free of charge.
With the regulation published in the Official Gazette, a new practice regarding the replacement of non-standard license plates, known as American Press Plates (APP), has come into effect.
According to the regulation, changes have been made to the printing, distribution, and inspection processes of vehicle registration plates.
With the provision added to the regulation, the responsibilities of authorized license plate printing institutions have been increased.
Accordingly, citizens will no longer be required to obtain a new 'license plate printing request document' for plates determined by traffic teams to be in violation of the regulation.
Plates determined to be non-standard will be replaced with new ones by authorized institutions without charging any fees.
