New scandal regarding the death of motorcycle courier Yunus Emre Göçer: Ambassador and military officials met with the Somali President while his son was fleeing!

Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud's son, Mohammed Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, was involved in an incident that resulted in the death of motorcycle courier Yunus Emre Göçer, and now a new scandal has emerged regarding the case.

Following the accident that occurred in Istanbul on November 30, 36-year-old Yunus Emre Göçer was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and placed in intensive care, while the Somali President's son, Mohammed Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, was released from the police station without even being brought before a prosecutor.

In the expert report prepared regarding the accident, the Somali President's son, Mohamud, was found to be "primarily at fault." Although the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued an arrest warrant for Mohamud, it was revealed that the suspect had fled the country on a scheduled flight on December 2.

Motorcycle courier Göçer lost his six-day struggle for life at the hospital where he was receiving treatment.

A striking new detail has emerged regarding the case, in which scandals have followed one after another.

According to a report in Birgün, it was learned that five days after Mohammed Hassan Sheikh Mohamud fled Turkey, and one day after Yunus Emre Göçer passed away (December 7), a delegation from the Turkish Embassy in Mogadishu visited Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in his office.

In a statement issued by the Somali Presidency, it was stated: "The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who received military experts and high-ranking officers from our brother country Turkey, thanked them for their roles in the reconstruction of the Somali National Army and the fight against Al-Shabaab terrorists."

The statement continued by noting that the delegation discussed the strengthening of existing military cooperation with the Somali President:

"It was stated that Turkey's Ambassador to Somalia, Mr. İbrahim M. Yağlı, also attended this meeting, where the strengthening of military cooperation between the two countries, the importance of the support of Turkish brothers in the liberation operation, and the training plan for Somalia were discussed."

The visit, which was attended by Turkey's Ambassador to Mogadishu, İbrahim Mete Yağlı, as well as high-ranking military experts and officers, was shared on the official website of the Somali Presidency.
