New statement from Yılmaz Tunç regarding the attack in Küçükçekmece!

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced that 16 out of 26 individuals referred to the courthouse in connection with the armed attack carried out during the election campaign of AKP Küçükçekmece Mayoral Candidate Aziz Yeniay have been arrested.

Stating that 3 of the arrested suspects are under the age of 18, Minister Tunç included the following remarks in his statement on his social media account:

“Within the scope of the judicial investigation conducted by the Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the armed attack carried out during the election campaign of AK Party Küçükçekmece Mayoral Candidate Aziz Yeniay; 26 suspects were referred to the courthouse, a total of 16 suspects, 3 of whom are under 18, have been arrested, judicial control decisions were issued for 5 suspects, 1 of whom is under 18, and 5 suspects were released after their statements were taken by the prosecutor's office. Such treacherous attacks against our democracy, aimed at disrupting the peace of our country, will never reach their goal.”
