New warning from Israel for Turkey: 'Until further notice...'

In a written statement issued by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was noted that due to the Israel-Palestine conflict, “a significant increase in anti-Israel protests has been detected in various countries around the world in recent days,” and that travel warnings for Israeli citizens have been tightened.

The statement advised that “until further notice, staying in all Middle Eastern/Arab countries, including Turkey, Egypt (including Sinai), Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Morocco, should be avoided.”

The statement also requested that citizens not travel to Muslim countries that already have travel warnings, such as Malaysia, Bangladesh, and Indonesia, as well as Muslim countries without travel warnings, such as the Maldives.

In this context, travel warnings for Egypt (including Sinai) and Jordan have been raised to level 4, which signifies a “high threat,” and Israelis were asked not to travel to these countries and for those currently there to leave as soon as possible.

The travel warning for Morocco was raised to level 3, and it was advised that non-essential travel to this country be avoided.

The statement expressed that “in addition to displays of hostility and violence against Israeli and Jewish symbols in various countries around the world, there has been an increase in rhetoric from global jihadist elements calling for harm to be done to Israelis and Jews.”

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs had previously issued travel warnings to its citizens due to the Israel-Palestine conflict that began on October 7.
