Accordingly, a total of 9 mayors joined the AKP, including 5 from the CHP, 3 from the New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi), and 1 from the IYI Party.
The municipalities include İzmir Çiğli, Tekirdağ Çerkezköy, Balıkesir Marmara Island, Antalya Elmalı, Erzurum Şenkaya, Kahramanmaraş Dulkadiroğlu and Türkoğlu, as well as Elazığ Palu and Sivas Koyulhisar.
PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN ATTACHED THEIR PINS
A pin ceremony was held for the mayors who joined the AKP at the event. While President Erdoğan personally attached the pins of the mayors, they later posed hand-in-hand on stage.
