Norwegian Princess Martha Louise celebrates Republic Day
Norwegian Princess Martha Louise attended the Republic Day ball organized by the Atatürkist Thought Association in Norway and celebrated Republic Day.
Musician Murat Evgin performed in Norway as part of the 101st anniversary celebrations of the October 29 Republic Day, at an event organized by the Atatürkist Thought Association. During his concert at the Republic Day Ball in Norway, Evgin provided emotional moments for the attendees with a wide repertoire including songs such as "Şeref Sözüm" (My Word of Honor), which he wrote for Atatürk, "Memleketim" (My Homeland), "Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You," and the "İzmir March."
Among the audience for the evening were Norwegian Princess Martha Louise and her new husband, Durek Verrett. Celebrating Republic Day, the Princess and her husband danced to Evgin's performance of the song "Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You."
Additionally, Evgin's signed albums were sold for 5,400 Norwegian Krone (16,848 TL) at an auction held during the night. Nurcan Erkıran, who purchased the albums, donated the proceeds to the Atatürkist Thought Association.
