Notable appointments from the HSK: Prosecutor of the AHBAP investigation changed

New duty changes in the judiciary were made with the decree of the First Chamber of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) dated September 7. Within the scope of the decree, the duty locations of a total of 36 judges and prosecutors were changed.

According to journalist Yiğit Uzun, Istanbul Public Prosecutor Hüseyin Erdoğmuş, who was conducting the AHBAP investigation closely followed by the public, was also appointed to the Bursa Public Prosecutor's Office by the decree. It was stated that the appointment was made with decree number 1663.

The decree included notable rotations in judicial centers such as Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa, and Kahramanmaraş. While Sivas Judge Hamza Başdağ was appointed as the President of the Kahramanmaraş Heavy Penal Court, the current president, Halil Dilan, was assigned as a Judge in Adana.

Four prosecutors serving at the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office were also reassigned. Accordingly, Umut Sadak was appointed to the Kırşehir Public Prosecutor's Office, Yunus Bilir to the Kocaeli Public Prosecutor's Office, Ercan Poyraz to the Ankara West Public Prosecutor's Office, and Oğuz Yılmaz to the Bursa Public Prosecutor's Office.

With the decree, Düzce Public Prosecutor Selami Arık was also appointed as a Rapporteur Judge at the Court of Cassation. This appointment was among the assignments that qualify as a transition to the high judiciary.

It was reported that the HSK First Chamber discussed the decree proposal in an off-agenda meeting. The chamber met with its full number of members and unanimously accepted the transfer appointment decisions.

It was stated that the decision bears the signatures of HSK First Chamber President Turan Kuloğlu and members Bülent Küfüdür, Hakan Yüksel, Havvanur Yurtsever, Sait Özdemir, and Can Tuncay.
